Random Number Generator – 1 to 10, 1 to 100 and No Repeats

Generate one or many random numbers between any minimum and maximum. Choose whole numbers or decimals, avoid repeats and sort the result.

Quick answer

Set the minimum and maximum and press Generate. Each whole number in the range has the same chance: 1 ÷ (max − min + 1). Between 1 and 10 that is 1 in 10 (10%); between 1 and 100 it is 1 in 100. Tick No repeated numbers to draw each value at most once.

How to use the Random Number Generator

  1. Enter the minimum and maximum, or tap a quick range (1–10, 1–100, 1–6, 1–20, 1–50, 1–1000, 0–9).
  2. Choose how many numbers you need (up to 10,000) and the decimal places (0 for whole numbers).
  3. Tick No repeated numbers and/or Sort the results if needed.
  4. Press Generate, then copy the list with one tap. Previous results stay below.

How fair is it?

The generator uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographic random source, and rejection sampling, which removes the small bias that simple “random × range” code can have. Every possible value is exactly as likely as every other one. Under the result you see how many values are possible, the chance of each one, and the sum, average, smallest and largest of your numbers.

Random numbers without repeats

With No repeated numbers on, the tool works like drawing numbered balls from a bag without putting them back. You cannot ask for more numbers than exist: between 1 and 10 there are only 10 different whole numbers, so 11 unique numbers is impossible and the tool tells you so. Drawing all of them gives a random order, handy for running orders, seating plans or shuffling a numbered list.

Decimals

Set decimal places to 1–6 to get numbers such as 3.7 or 0.4821. With 1 decimal place, the range 1–2 has 11 possible values: 1.0, 1.1, … 2.0.

Lottery odds

Random picks do not raise your chance of winning. In Powerball the odds of the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338 whichever numbers you choose. Random numbers simply avoid popular patterns such as birthdays, so if you do win you are less likely to share the prize.
